There's been mounting online chatter surrounding allegations that Skeletal Remains frontman Chris Monroy engaged in inappropriate behavior during this year's 70,000 Tons of Metal cruise.

Multiple attendees have shared accounts across social media, including posts within the unofficial 70,000 Tons of Metal Facebook group and on Reddit, alleging that Monroy became heavily intoxicated and inappropriately touched several women aboard the ship. Some eyewitness claims suggest he was banned from cruise activities or confined to his quarters for part of the voyage, though these reports remain unverified.

In response to inquiries from MetalSucks, organizers of 70,000 Tons of Metal stated that the situation was addressed while the cruise was underway. "Our security team was made aware of a situation during the cruise and promptly interviewed all parties involved to defuse the matter. After reviewing the information available at the time, no further action was warranted.

"70000TONS OF METAL is a very friendly and inclusive environment, and we take the safety and well-being of our guests, crew, and artists extremely seriously. We also have a clear code of conduct that we hold everyone on board to, including guests and musicians alike."

Allegations began circulating last week after two Facebook users — one of whom chose to remain anonymous — posted about their experiences involving Monroy. Those posts were subsequently shared more widely, prompting additional individuals to come forward with similar claims.

One Reddit user, who stated they reported Monroy while aboard the ship, alleged that he repeatedly grabbed them by the waist after being told to "fuck off multiple times." According to their account, they later escalated the complaint to cruise officials, citing the presence of ship security footage. Another attendee publicly criticized Monroy on social media, accusing him of groping women while intoxicated.

At the time of publication, neither Monroy nor Skeletal Remains have issued a public statement addressing the allegations. As conversations continue online, the cruise organizers maintain that the matter was investigated during the event and handled according to their established code of conduct.
