MEGADETH, MESHUGGAH, DEAFHEAVEN, FEAR FACTORY & More Slated For Record Store Day 2026

The 2026 Record Store Day release list is out, and metal and hard rock fans have plenty to get excited about. Set for April 18th at independent record stores worldwide, the event features a mix of long-awaited releases, vinyl debuts, and collectible editions.

Among the most talked-about offerings is the mythical Slipknot offshoot album Look Outside Your Window, finally arriving on the scene. Originally recorded during the All Hope Is Gone sessions in 2008, this experimental side project features Corey Taylor, Jim Root, Shawn "Clown" Crahan, and Sid Wilson and has been highly anticipated by fans for over 15 years. Other metal and heavy releases include:

Deafheaven – Their 2025 KEXP studio session is getting its first-ever vinyl release.
Meshuggah – Swedish metal titans have a pair of remastered albums lined up for collectors.
Ozzy Osbourne – An exclusive vinyl figure of the Prince of Darkness, who previously served as a Record Store Day ambassador, will be available.
The Sword – Their rare stoner/doom release Four Songs, originally sold on CD-R at shows in 2005, makes its vinyl debut.
Pearl Jam – A new photo book/live EP from the Dark Matter tour cycle.
Porcupine Tree – The acoustic live album We Lost The Skyline also joins the lineup, offering a stripped-down experience from the progressive rock legends.
