from ashes to new
12:51 Saturday, 31 January 2026

From Ashes To New have announced their next full-length album, Reflections, due out on 17 April via Better Noise Music. To mark the news, the Lancaster, Pennsylvania alt-Metal crew have released a new song and video, Villain.
New Single: Villain
The band describe Villain as a look at the magnetic pull between two people who know better, but dive in anyway, told from the “bad guy” perspective. Vocalist Matt Brandyberry says the track leans into that dark tension where temptation feels like truth and the line between thrill and self-destruction disappears.
Reflections: What To Expect
Reflections follows 2023’s Blackout, which hit number one on several iTunes and Spotify Rock and Metal charts around the world. The new record features 12 tracks, including the previously released songs New Disease and Drag Me – the latter now heading to radio.
According to the band, the album took shape after a reset: demos for an earlier version of the record were scrapped, with only two songs carried forward. The result is a release that stays true to their signature approach while pushing further into alt-Metal.
