In a conversation with Chile's Radio Futuro, vocalist Mikael Stanne of The Halo Effect (also known for his work in Dark Tranquility and In Flames) said that the band's third record was on the way.

Active since 2019 with LPs released in 2022 and 2025, their usual three year interval between records seems to have shrunk significantly as Stanne confirms that The Halo Effect is "working on our third album right now, so as soon as that is out, like by the end of the year or something like that, it’s gonna be time to tour again, of course," during his radio interview. (as transcribed by Blabbermouth.net).

Their last release, 2025's March Of The Unheard, was released via Nuclear Blast, so it's relatively safe to assume that this upcoming release will also be through the same label.

Consisting of drummer Daniel Svensson, guitarist Jesper Strömblad, vocalist Mikael Stanne, and guitarist Niclas Engelin, and bassist Peter Iwers, all ex-members of Swedish metal powerhouse In Flames, Stanne said during his chat that "it's super fun. I mean, it really is like a passion project among friends," he said of The Halo Effect's lineup, "So, to get to travel together with my friends who I've known since I was a teenager, it's pretty awesome. And the new album is shaping up to be incredible. I just heard one song today, and, yeah, it's gonna be fantastic."
