Bam Margera has spoken candidly about his involvement in the upcoming fifth Jackass movie, confirming that while he will appear in the film, fans shouldn't expect any new stunts from the longtime franchise star.

The update comes shortly after Johnny Knoxville announced that Jackass 5 is slated for release in late June, reigniting speculation about whether Margera — who was infamously cut from Jackass Forever — would return in any capacity. Now, Margera has clarified exactly how he fits into the project.

Speaking during an on-the-street interview with TMZ, Margera revealed that he has signed an agreement allowing the filmmakers to use archival footage, but made it clear that his participation stops there.

"As far as I know, I don't have to film anything new and I don't want to," Margera said. "I'm just too hurt by it and I've just accepted the fact that I don't want anything to do with it anymore."

Margera was removed from Jackass Forever after violating a wellness contract tied to sobriety, a decision that led to legal action and years of public tension. In the interview, he admitted that the fallout still weighs heavily on him.

"If you had a laundry list of the chain of horrible events… only to sit me down and tell me you're not in the movie and you're not getting five million dollars," he said. "I have a lot of PTSD from it all."

Despite the lingering pain, Margera said he was open to the idea of unused footage being repurposed for the new film. "I remember filming so much crazy shit that never made it to the movie because it was just too long or too gnarly," he said. "I said, 'Hell yeah, go for it.'"

However, any hopes of reconciliation appear slim. Margera confirmed he has not squashed his issues with Knoxville or director Jeff Tremaine, despite remaining friendly with other Jackass cast members like Chris Pontius.

"For Tremaine and Knoxville to sit me down after everything I've been through… I was very angry," he said. "Now I'm not angry, but I'm just hurt." He added bluntly: "My feelings to them are still fuck you."

Margera did strike a more positive note when talking about his personal life, sharing that he's in a happy marriage and has found renewed purpose through skateboarding. Still, he emphasized that his chapter with Jackass is effectively closed.

While details about Jackass 5 remain scarce — including its full cast — Margera's comments confirm that his presence will be limited to legacy footage, rather than a full reunion. Whether the film leans heavily on nostalgia or introduces new faces remains to be seen, but one thing is clear: Bam Margera's relationship with Jackass remains complicated, painful, and unresolved.
