FM Announce An Exclusive Brentford Gig For Charity

It is not often that your most beloved rock stars announce they are playing in your lovely local venue. So we at MT HQ were very excited when we heard Steve Overland and Jim Kirkpatrick from FM announced they were performing at The Weir. In fact, there was a resounding shout of joy amongst all of us music journalists.

The Weir is a multi-award-winning historic waterside pub in the heart of Brentford run by the truly brilliant Joanne Scully. It attracts so many people through its doors, from Iron Maiden’s Janick Gers to Dion Dublin, Rusty Egan and even royalty.

I even had a boogie with England rugby legend Mike Tindall there. 

We Brentfordians love this local in the heart of TW8. As the catchphrase goes, Brentford Is Brilliant, and for one night only, Brentford will rock courtesy of Steve and Jim. 

Swapping stadiums for this stunning location, this FM exclusive and intimate gig is all to raise money for a charity that is so important for our community – The Hammersmith Kidney Trust.

Expect to hear FM’s finest anthems with some deep cuts and, knowing these dudes, some great banter too. It is the only London show for them, so come and join us in Brentford (it’s brilliant).

An Audience with Steve Overland and Jim Kirkpatrick will be held on 9 December 2025 and also features the one and only Lara Brewer as the opening act. Tickets are £30 from Eventbrite.

This is an adults-only event, and no dogs will be allowed in the garden. This is an outdoor event, so wrap up warm.
