A new supergroup appears to be in motion, uniting estranged Korn bassist Reginald "Fieldy" Arvizu, ex-Fear Factory bassist-turned-guitarist Christian Olde Wolbers, and current Sepultura (and former Suicidal Tendencies) drummer Greyson Nekrutman.
Wolbers shared a photo of the trio on August 14, fueling speculation about a new project. In the comments, he tagged Cypress Hill frontman B-Real and wrote, "@breal we got 2 in the can," suggesting the group already has two tracks recorded with the iconic rapper.
Wolbers' connection to B-Real runs deep — he has served as a live bassist for Cypress Hill and previously worked with the vocalist in the short-lived early 2000s rap-rock outfit Kush, alongside then-Fear Factory drummer Raymond Herrera and Deftones guitarist Stephen Carpenter. That project never saw release due to label disputes.
The link between Wolbers and the Cypress Hill camp remains strong through Powerflo, his current rap-metal supergroup featuring Cypress Hill's Sen Dog. No additional details — including the project's name, label, or release plans — have been revealed.
If anything, this also seems to confirm that Fieldy is having way more fun with other projects than he is interested in going back to Korn. When asked by a fan in the comments "did Reggie tell ya if he is gonna get back to KoRn," Wolbers responded: "he's having more fun with us."
And no – this isn't Wolbers' other project Angst Fabrik either, as he commented to one another fan that he's "working on [that project] silently."
