Progressive metal titans Dream Theater have officially announced their return to U.S. stages this September with the launch of the Parasomnia Tour, a run that will see the band performing their brand-new album in its entirety alongside fan favorites — including their 1995 epic "A Change of Seasons".
The tour kicks off September 5 in Reading, PA and runs through October 25 in Uniondale, NY, with stops at major theaters, arenas, and high-profile festival appearances such as Louder Than Life and Aftershock. The trek will also feature two special nights in Atlanta: a dedicated Parasomnia performance on September 13 and the rescheduled Dream Theater 40th Anniversary anniversary show on September 14. "We are very excited to be performing A Change of Seasons on our Parasomnia US tour!" wrote Dream Theater of the decision. "We will also be performing the whole of the new album and other Dream Theater favorites!"

Dream Theater's recent return to touring has centered on their expansive 40th Anniversary Tour, marking the long-awaited reunion with founding drummer Mike Portnoy, who rejoined the band in October 2023. The tour began in Europe in October 2024 and extended into a major 2025 European leg that included iconic festival dates – from Logomo in Turku, Finland on June 3 through a historic performance at the Amphitheatre of Pompeii on July 2, where they honored Pink Floyd by performing "Echoes" in full.
The North American leg followed in February and March, culminating on March 22, 2025 at Radio City Music Hall with the live debut of "The Best of Times" alongside deep-cut classics and fresh rarities pulled from across their four‑decade-spanning catalog
