Legendary metal vocalist John Bush has officially announced a special trio of live performances set for December 2025, paying tribute to his pivotal decade as the frontman of Anthrax. These exclusive shows will focus on material from the four albums Bush recorded with the band: Sound of White Noise from 1993, Stomp 442 from 1995, Volume 8: The Threat Is Real from 1998, and We've Come for You All from 2003.

Long discussed and highly anticipated by fans, the shows will bring a crucial chapter of Anthrax's history back to the stage — one that has largely been absent from live rotation since Bush's departure from the band.

"I've talked about doing this for a long time – and now, I'm finally doing it," said Bush. "Fans constantly tell me how much those records meant to them, and how they miss hearing those songs live. It's very humbling. The wait is over."

The short run of dates will feature both iconic anthems and deep cuts rarely, if ever, performed live. Bush will be joined by his Category 7 bandmates Phil Demmel, Mike Orlando, and Jason Bittner, along with longtime Armored Saint collaborator Joey Vera on bass. Category 7 bassist Jack Gibson is unable to participate due to scheduling conflicts.

"These guys are incredible, badass musicians, and it hit me – why look anywhere else?" Bush said. "They're already right here. It was a total no-brainer."

Adding a unique twist, Category 7 will serve double duty by opening each night with a full set of their own material, before returning to the stage as Bush's backing band for the Anthrax portion of the evening. This limited three-show run will be a rare opportunity to hear Bush-era Anthrax tracks performed live and in full force — something fans of that era have long clamored for.
