Legendary metalcore pioneers Converge are bringing something massive to their hometown this winter. The band has officially announced the inaugural Saddest Day Festival, set to take place on December 13, 2025, at Roadrunner in Boston, MA. Named after the band's iconic 1996 track "The Saddest Day" from Petitioning the Empty Sky, the event promises a night of visceral music, art, and community — handpicked by the band themselves.

Converge will headline the event, joined by a powerhouse lineup that includes Touché Amoré, Coalesce, The Hope Conspiracy, Soul Glo, Year Of The Knife, Stress Positions, and Wormwood. A special guest artist — billed just beneath The Hope Conspiracy — will be revealed on September 21, adding even more excitement to an already stacked bill.

In addition to the crushing live sets, Converge frontman Jacob Bannon will present a live art exhibit, showcasing his own work alongside pieces from renowned artists like Thomas Hooper and Nightswim Project, with more to be announced.

The announcement also arrives as Converge gear up for the release of their first new album since 2017's The Dusk In Us. Having recently hit the studio and already debuted some new tracks live, the anticipation for what's next is at a fever pitch.

Expect nothing short of a cathartic and unforgettable night as Converge celebrate their legacy and future with a hand-selected lineup of heavy music's most forward-pushing acts. Ticket pre-sales are set to launch tomorrow.
