CALVA LOUISE Release Their New Spanish-Influenced Deathcore Record, Edge Of The Abyss

Spanish-influenced deathcore sounds peculiar, sure, but there's nothing not interesting about Calva Louise. The trio have just released their fourth record, Edge Of The Abyss, last Friday (11th July) via Mascot Records, and it's a whopper crack at modern deathcore and all that it can be.

Haunting in places, straight up unsettling in others, Calva Louise string together a pretty meticulous venture of metalcore throughout the eleven tracks. There are pieces of Spanish influences – from classical piano to classical guitars – as well as EDM and techno weaved throughout the 11 tracks.

They debuted their brand new music video for "Impeccable" alongside the release of the record. The series of music videos produced for this album cycle are inspired by a world conceived by frontwoman Jess Allanic's adolescent mind. In fact, the entire record follows the journey of characters that may or may not resemble the band members, throughout sci-fi atmospheres and real-life issues. The music videos are purely Allanic's fictional world brought to life.

You can check out the music video for Calva Louise's "Impeccable" and the album's tracklist below, as well as stream or order the album here.
