New Orleans sludge metal titans Crowbar have announced that longtime friend and former member Pat Bruders (Down, ex-Goatwhore, ex-Crowbar) will rejoin the band for the remainder of their 2025 live appearances, stepping in for bassist Shane Wesley, who is currently on tour with the recently reunited Acid Bath.

Bruders will take the stage with Crowbar on their much-anticipated U.S. co-headlining tour with Eyehategod, two of NOLA's most iconic heavy acts uniting for a run that fans have been waiting on for years.

Crowbar frontman Kirk Windstein expressed his excitement about the reunion with Bruders: "Due to Shane's prior commitments with Acid Bath, Pat Bruders will be joining us for the rest of 2025. We will miss Shane, but we are excited to reunite with Pat for these shows! This tour and the Halloween cruise are gonna be a blast! Don't miss it!"

Wesley also shared his thoughts on the transition: "As many of you know, I've recently had the opportunity to be a part of the Acid Bath reunion. I'm incredibly honored and thankful to have the chance to work with not just one, but two bands I grew up listening to… Pat's a good friend of mine and someone I've looked up to for years. His work in Crowbar and Down has always been inspiring. If any of these shows are coming near you, go show them some support. You don't want to miss it!"

Bruders, who originally played in Crowbar from 2005 to 2013 and now anchors Down's rhythm section, shared his appreciation: "I would like to express my gratitude and appreciation to my brother Kirk, and my brothers in Crowbar for giving me the opportunity to step in and play again with them in place of Shane Wesley, of whom I have nothing but the deepest love and respect.

"I'm gonna do my best job on his behalf for the August run with Eyehategod, and the upcoming Headbangers Boat cruise. I hope everyone comes out to support and celebrate with us. Be there! Bring it!"

Crowbar and Eyehategod will bring their brands of New Orleans filth to the masses of the United States this August with a crushing co-headlining tour. The tour kicks off on August 8 at the Brass Mug in Tampa, FL, and wraps up on August 30 at the Southport Hall in New Orleans, LA.
