Brocarde captured in a gothic feast of rebellion—Last Supper delivers a dark Metal vision with a powerful message.

“What will you consume at your Last Supper? Self-indulgence or the arms of your Mother?” This is the question that Brocarde poses in the new single Last Supper with lyrics that take a mighty bite out of popular culture.

“When I wrote Last Supper, I had pages and pages of concepts and a vivid agenda for the song,” Brocarde told MetalTalk. “It marked an important turning point in my life where I was questioning everything about who I was and everything about the world surrounding me.

“Something was yearning inside me, forcing me to take stock of what is important, and that notion still haunts me today”.

Last Supper is a thought-provoking blast of modern Metal that also leaves space open to our own imagination and interpretation.

“Sometimes it seems impossible to escape popular culture, celebrity culture and social media,” Brocarde says. “I used to resent that world greatly and rebel heavily against it. With maturity, I can look at it with reflection and appreciate it for what it is. I understand that it can magnify your voice as an artist. It goes back to the observation that I made in my last single, Identity Theft.

“We’re all part of the herd. There’s no superiority or ‘voice from above’ in my observations and lyrics. These are relatable topics, and we are all in this life together.”

The colourful video is certainly worth the watch. Heavily inspired by gothic fairy tales, Brocarde is lured, captured, and caged, all driven by an army of pigs.

The journey culminates in a dramatic finale, as Brocarde becomes the star of her own private dinner party. A vegan meal is served up, the tables are turned on the food chain, and we are forced to question everything that we accept as normal.

“Last Supper asks the listener to reflect on and question what actually matters,” Brocarde says. “In your final hours on earth, what would be important? Spending time with loved ones or leaving a lasting selfie?

“It’s food for thought, every pun intended!”
