Heavy Metal torchbearer and multi-instrumental maestro Wolfgang Van Halen is charging full steam ahead with The End, the highly anticipated third album from Mammoth. Promising emotionally charged, riff-heavy songwriting, The End further proves Wolfgang is carving his own path through the Heavy Metal landscape.
This afternoon, the new single The Spell has been released along with a cinematic performance video directed by Gordy De St. Jeor, featuring multiple versions of Wolfgang performing each instrument.
Clocking in at 39 minutes, The End was recorded at the iconic 5150 studio and produced by trusted collaborator Michael ‘Elvis’ Baskette. As per usual, Wolfgang wrote every song and played every instrument and vocal line, a creative feat that sets Mammoth apart in a genre dominated by full-band lineups.
From the hypnotic opener, One Of A Kind, to the emotionally resonant closer, All In Good Time, The End explores themes of self-reflection and personal growth, with standout cuts like Happy, Selfish, and Same Old Song destined to become fan favourites.
This release builds on the momentum of the title track, The End, which drew massive buzz with a star-studded video homage to From Dusk Till Dawn. Directed by genre titans Robert Rodriguez and Greg Nicotero, it featured cameos from Slash, Myles Kennedy, Danny Trejo, and Valerie Bertinelli.
Mammoth will take The End on the road starting today (9 July 2025), joining Creed’s Return Of The Summer Of ’99 tour across North America. A headlining Autumn run kicks off 31 October, featuring special guest Myles Kennedy, hitting major cities including Las Vegas, Atlanta, and Chicago.
With Wolfgang backed by a killer live band, Jon Jourdan, Frank Sidoris, Ronnie Ficarro, and Garrett Whitlock, fans can expect a tightly-honed, emotionally potent live experience.
