Forged in the quiet suburbs of Hillsborough, New Jersey, American Grim are a four-piece rock band channelling the unknown through blistering riffs, atmospheric synths, and hard-hitting lyrics inspired by real extraterrestrial encounters across America. Their recent single, Secrets Of Roswell, is a shining example of American Grim in action. It is a seriously cool track that deserves to surpass the million YouTube views of the earlier single Nightmare.

With a sound that fuses Metal grit with cosmic vibes, the band explores everything from the Roswell crash to the Phoenix Lights, crafting sonic stories that blur the line between truth and conspiracy. Their live shows are part concert, part close encounter raw, loud, and otherworldly.
“We record and film all our music and videos ourselves in our hometown of Hillsborough, New Jersey,” singer Ryan Grim told MetalTalk. “We’ve always been fascinated by UFOs and the possibility of extraterrestrial life.
“During the COVID lockdown, we began diving deep into classic UFO encounters across America. The Roswell incident, in particular, really opened our eyes. Through our research, we discovered that the real story of Roswell has been preserved by the locals and passed down through the families involved. Their accounts have kept the truth alive.
“Our band’s mission is to shine a light on these historic encounters and get younger generations engaged so these stories aren’t lost.
“Roswell is ground zero for alien disclosure, and that’s why we chose it as the focus of our first release in a historical direction. This is just the beginning. We’ve got more songs and videos coming soon that uncover other encounters from all across America.”
American Grim have just released Issue Number One 1 of Roswell Remains, a story about a rock band escaping Area 61. The comic tells the story of their upcoming feature film.
