The enigmatic spirit-hunter, ghost bride, and rising voice in the alternative scene, Brocarde, is back with a vengeance. Her new single, Identity Theft is out today, with a sound that shakes the soul and scary visuals that disturb the norm.
Best known for marrying a Victorian ghost soldier and conducting a séance for Lemmy at Wacken, Brocarde has never been one to colour inside the lines. But with Identity Theft, she flips the script entirely—this isn’t just a song, it’s a sonic horror show dressed in Heavy Metal skin, underscored by the twisted genius of producer Chris Collier (Whitesnake, Mick Mars, Korn).
An Orchestral Nightmare With A Beat
Described as a “twisted fairytale” by the artist herself, the video for Identity Theft is a hypnotic dive into the uncanny. Anchored by an eerie baby cry and an alien birth sequence, Brocarde turns primal fear into musical spectacle.
“The baby crying had quite a specific visual attached to it,” Brocarde told us. “Giving birth to a baby alien seemed to say so much and hold so many scary connotations.”
Musically, the track beats with a trance-like march—part ritual, part rebellion—as it drags the listener through life’s psychological corridors, from birth through teenage turmoil and into the battle for adult identity.
“It’s taken me so long to grow into my identity and find the confidence to share my true personality,” she admits.

Brocarde: From the Dead of Night to the Main Stage
Brocarde’s surreal blend of theatricality and Metal edge first caught attention in 2019 with her debut single Last Supper, earning praise from the likes of David Coverdale, who called her “an electrifying, creative new artist.”
The momentum continued with Love Me ‘Til I’m Beautiful, featuring Ray Luzier of Korn on drums.
An artist on a unique path, Brocarde undertook a ghost hunt at Download Festival in 2024, followed by a séance for Motörhead’s Lemmy at Wacken Open Air. Brocarde is certainly crafting her own mythos in Heavy Metal’s darkest corners.
Brocarde: “If people are not responding to you, they are not your people.”
An Army of Me
With Identity Theft, Brocarde makes a bold statement. “If people are not responding to you, they are not your people,” she says. As she aims to build “an army of me,” there is no mistaking her mission.
This is just the beginning of her next chapter—and it promises to be as hauntingly unforgettable as she is.
Whether you’re a fan of macabre theatrics, blistering riffs, or just raw authenticity wrapped in black lace, Brocarde is carving a niche that is hers and hers alone.
