Dragged Into Sunlight recently announced their first North American since 2016 with Mizmor and Meth, but then kicked Meth off the tour due to their previous association with Prosthetic Records. In the past, Dragged Into Sunlight has publicly made it clear their disappointment with Prosthetic Records for allegedly not paying them royalties.
Upon being booted, Meth said they had no idea why Dragged Into Sunlight even accepted them onto the tour and said their decision "shows very poor professionalism, lax standards and an inability to perform even minuscule due dilligence on the parts of DIS, and their team Tone Management."
Dragged Into Sunlight has now issued their own statement on the matter alongside announcing new openers. Dragged Into Sunlight said Meth's "records are still actively being sold and distributed [by Prosthetic], which conflicts with our position" and that concerns were raised early on.
"USA and Canada 2025 tour update including new dates in Minneapolis and Vegas," wrote Dragged Into Sunlight. "All dates with Mizmor except highlighted and select dates with new fellow aural punishers Glassing, Minsk, Chained to the Bottom of the Ocean and Rabbit.
"Meth will no longer be opening the tour due to an oversight by our small team. Although they parted ways with their label a few days ago, their records are still actively being sold and distributed, which conflicts with our position. We raised concerns early on, but unfortunately they were not acknowledged. We had a chat with the band and afterwards, it did not feel right.
"We choose who we work with and it feels like a fairly basic artistic freedom to be able to do so. Moving on, we are looking forward to the tour. We added some killer artists who we know better and who like and respect us as much as we like and respect them."
