SLEEP's AL CISNEROS & WOVENHAND's DAVID EUGENE EDWARDS Team Up For A New EP

Good news! Al Cisneros (Om, Sleep) and David Eugene Edwards (Wovenhand, 16 Horsepower) have teamed up for a brand new 10" called Pillar Of Fire / Capernaum. No new songs are streaming just yet, but you can pre-order the 10" here before its April 25 release date. It's worth noting that a description of the release also mentions this is "the first collaboration" between those two musicians… so maybe there's more?

As for Cisneros and Om, who knows what's going on there. Cisneros said way back in 2022 the he was about to start mixing Om's new record, but we never heard anything else about it. And then there's Sleep, who apparently fired drummer Jason Roeder back in November 2024 and has been largely silent outside pushing some reissues and merch.
