Whew boy – the nostalgia factory is pumping out bands in full force as of late. Furnace Fest announced on Friday that The Tony Tapdance Extravaganza would be joining the festival for an exclusive reunion performance this year. Damn.

Whispers of a reunion began to surface on social media earlier in the week when fans had noticed the band had a brand new logo on their Facebook which was then accompanied by a video that ended with the words "Restart."

The group disbanded back in 2012 after releasing four records in a seven year span, with their third record, Danza III: The Series of Unfortunate Events receiving 4.5 out of 5 stars from MetalSucks. They also toured with bands such as Veil of Maya and The Acacia Strain.

Alongside The Tony Tapdance Extravaganza reunion, the Furnace Fest has also announced A Change of Pace and Ten Yard Fight reunions at this year's festival.

The Furnace Festival's official announcement:

"We’re beyond STOKED to welcome The Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza to the FF25 lineup for a Furnace Fest EXCLUSIVE performance—do not miss this!

While TTDTE never played Furnace Fest in the early years, they were at Sloss, handing out cassette demos titled Thank You Jason Dietz—a nod to the man who recorded it in exchange for a 12-pack of PBR. That demo made its way to Guy from The Red Chord, who helped them land a record deal.

Now, 20 years later, they’re finally taking the Furnace Fest stage for an epic reunion set. It’s all come full circle, and we couldn’t be more hyped!"
