Nirvana-heads rejoice – the remaining members reunited to perform at Saturday Night Live's 50th year anniversary on February 14th. Original members Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic were joined not only by Nirvana's touring guitarist, Pat Smear, but by Post Malone to perform the band's iconic, "Smells Like Teen Spirit."
You can watch the performance below.
The collaboration doesn't come as a surprise. During COVID, Post Malone, with the help of Travis Barker, raised money for the World Health Organisation through a Nirvana tribute livestream. Covering tracks like "Come As You Are," "Heart-Shaped Box," and "Lithium," Post Malone demonstrated he was no stranger to Nirvana.
And it isn't Nirvana's first appearance as of late. Recently performing a set at FireAid alongside four guest vocalists – one of them including Dave Grohl's daughter, Violet – the band have been making their rounds.
It's been over 30 years since the legendary band was active.
