Hey, Gojira won a GRAMMY! Gojira was awarded a GRAMMY in the Best Metal Performance category for their Olympic song "Mea Culpa (Ah! Ça ira!)" performed alongside vocalist Marina Viotti and composed by Victor Le Masne. If you get the chance, watch the footage too – Gojira got played onto the stage to Metallica's "Enter Sandman". I guess the band was expecting something else.
Gojira beat out Judas Priest, Knocked Loose, Metallica, and Spiritbox in the category (all of whom also deserved it, frankly). This year's nominations for the Best Metal Performance category at the 2025 Grammy Awards were:
- "Mea Culpa (Ah! Ça ira!)" – Gojira, Marina Viotti & Victor Le Masne
- "Crown of Horns" – Judas Priest
- "Suffocate" – Knocked Loose feat. Poppy
- "Screaming Suicide" – Metallica
- "Cellar Door" – Spiritbox
