Kerry King / Metal Reign Continues In North America

It may have been running for a couple of weeks, but the Kerry King North America Tour rolls into Canada for a couple of nights before hitting Boston for some more U.S.A shows. King, along with drummer Paul Bostaph (Slayer), bassist Kyle Sanders (HELLYEAH), guitarist Phil Demmel (Machine Head), and vocalist Mark Osegueda (Death Angel), will continue to rain in Metal much like the European dates last summer.

Kerry King brought a Metal masterclass of brilliance to Camden when they thrilled a sold-out Electric Ballroom. This show was bookended with phenomenal fury at Download and a masterclass in brutality and precision at Hellfest.

King announced his firey return with From Hell I Rise, “an album that roars and screams from start to finish.” The recent video for Where I Reign was a shining example. It was released in a film shot in black and white and directed by Jim Louvau.

“I wanted to capture the fury and the energy of the band in a live setting,” Louvau said. “an intensity that is matched from a visual standpoint that matches the intensity of the song and the energy that the band brings each and every night on tour, and I think we were able to do that.

“There are some still photos in the video that also show motion and energy, and I was really just trying to bring that energy to life in a live setting that is different from the other two videos that were done in the studio and were a little more in a controlled environment. 

“So this video was definitely the guys being themselves and just showcasing what the band provides in a live setting.”
