Halestorm recently held a surprise show at the Underdog in Nashville, where they performed an intimate acoustic set. The band played five of their own songs and also covered two classics: Fleetwood Mac’s ‘Gold Dust Woman’ and Skid Row’s ‘I Remember You.’ They shared two videos from the secret gig on Instagram, giving fans a glimpse of the special performance.
While Halestorm is keeping busy with both planned and surprise shows, they are also putting the finishing touches on new music. Lzzy Hale revealed that their upcoming album is nearly complete, with the band having already worked on it during three different studio sessions.
“So we’re making this great music, but we’re constantly touring. So we’ve had, like, three different sessions in the studio. We’re probably — what? — 70, 80, maybe, percent there,” Hale shared.
She continued, explaining that much of the work is happening at their home studio where she’s finalizing vocals and solos. “We have a studio in our house and so I’m doing a lot of the finishing touches on vocals and sewing everything up, doing solos and all that. And then we get back in in December to just say, ‘Okay, this is good.’ And then, yeah. And then there we are. So we’re excited about it. We really are.”
Alongside the new album, Halestorm is gearing up for upcoming shows, starting with one in Flint, Michigan on January 4, and wrapping up their tour on January 25 in Vermont.
