The Offspring celebrated reaching 1 billion streams with an 8-bit adventure version of their hit song, ‘You’re Gonna Go Far, Kid.’

“1 BILLION STREAMS deserves an 8-bit video, right?” the band wrote in the caption of their Instagram post, alongside a video of the song presented as an 8-bit game.

In the comment section, fans expressed excitement about the game version. One fan said, “I want to play them all.” Another commented, “Make a video game with all the different album covers and music videos references.”

“Wanna this game in my table right now,” one more fan wrote. “JUST DO A GAME OF THAT ALREADY,” another added.

The milestone was reached in July when the 2008 single surpassed 1 billion streams on Spotify. The band marked this achievement with a post on Instagram, saying, “‘You’re Gonna Go Far, Kid’ has joined the SPOTIFY BILLIONS CLUB,” along with three party popper emojis.

This song became the first Offspring track to enter the Spotify Billions Club. Later, their 1998 hit ‘The Kids Aren’t Alright’ also reached 1 billion streams on Spotify, making it the second Offspring song to achieve this feat.

The band celebrated ‘The Kids Aren’t Alright’ reaching the milestone at San Diego’s Punk in the Park festival, where they announced it on stage and received cheers from the audience.

‘The Kids Aren’t Alright,’ now over 25 years old, has been one of The Offspring’s most popular singles. It achieved platinum status from the RIAA in September 2021. The song, which reflects a generation’s disappointment, is still frequently played at sports events, especially by the University of Southern California marching band, where frontman Dexter Holland attended school.

The Offspring released their 11th studio album, ‘Supercharged,’ on October 11. Following the release, the band revealed their 2025 world tour, Supercharged Worldwide in ’25. The UK and European leg will run from September to November, starting in Madrid on September 26 and ending in Glasgow.

The tour will kick off in January in South Africa and the UAE with Green Day, followed by five shows in Brazil in March. In April, they’ll tour Japan with Simple Plan. This year, they’ve also headlined major festivals like Hurricane/Southside in Germany and Hellfest in France.
