Sammy Hagar and Metallica will join forces for a charity event at the 2024 Metallica Helping Hands Concert & Auction.
The event, scheduled for Friday, December 13, at YouTube Theater in Los Angeles, will feature special guests Sammy Hagar and his band, ‘The Best of All Worlds,’ as well as the violin-and-cello duo SistaStrings. Hagar’s band will include former Van Halen bassist Michael Anthony, guitarist Joe Satriani, and drummer Kenny Aronoff. This performance will be Metallica and Hagar’s last in 2024.
The Helping Hands Concert & Auction aims to raise funds for Metallica’s All Within My Hands Foundation, which was established in 2017. The foundation supports communities that have been important to the band, focusing on food security, disaster relief, education, and local services.
The event will offer a variety of items and experiences at auction, with all proceeds benefiting the foundation. While the event is sold out, tickets may still be available through resale sites like StubHub.
Looking ahead, Metallica will resume their M72 World Tour in 2025, starting the North American leg on April 19 in Syracuse, New York, and concluding on June 29 in Denver. They will be joined by Pantera, Limp Bizkit, Suicidal Tendencies, and Ice Nine Kills at select shows.
Metallica’s tour will feature ‘No Repeat Weekends,’ where the band performs different sets each night at many two-night stops, along with single-night performances in other cities. Metallica will also perform in Australia and New Zealand in November 2025, with eight shows starting in Perth on November 1 and concluding in Auckland on November 19.
Hagar will kick off his solo performances in early 2025, with four scheduled shows. He will also have a Las Vegas residency with ‘The Best of All Worlds,’ beginning April 30, 2025, at Dolby Live at the Park MGM.
His first solo performance will take place on January 17, 2025, at the Barrett-Jackson car auction in Scottsdale, Arizona. Other shows include February 20 in San Antonio, Texas, February 21 in Thackerville, Oklahoma, and April 27 at the Stagecoach Music Festival in California.
