Swedish rock royalty The Hellacopters are fuelling the rock ‘n’ roll machine once again, with a trifecta of announcements in 2024 which were sure to electrify their global fanbase. These exuberant pioneers are demonstrating that thirty years in the industry has only made them more seasoned with new hits and an album that is highly anticipated.
Stay With You – A Standalone Rock Anthem
In May 2024, The Hellacopters dropped their first original single since the release of Eyes of Oblivion in 2022. Stay With You is a hard-hitting, no-nonsense rocker paired with a stylish video directed by Emil Klinta. Check out the awesome thundering bass in this track. The piano adds a touch of class too.
Originally intended for their forthcoming album, the band chose to release it as a standalone track, complete with a B-side cover of The Cure’s Fire In Cairo.
“Stay With You is a straight-up minor key rocker,” guitarist and vocalist Nicke Andersson said, “and we hope you dig it.”
Overdriver – A New Album to Shake the Ground
October 2024 saw the announcement that Overdriver would be the new album from The Hellacopters, released on 31 January 2025 via Nuclear Blast Records. The album was recorded at Strawberry Studio and The Honk Palace, and has been entirely produced by Nicke Andersson.
Overdriver promises a blend of roaring guitars, seismic grooves, and anthemic choruses that fans have come to expect from The Hellacopters.
Leave A Mark – A Fiery Preview from The Hellacopters
To tease Overdriver, the band unleashed the single Leave A Mark in November 2024. Marrying their signature guitar-driven assault with melodic hooks and a touch of melancholy, the track is a testament to their mastery of dynamic rock ‘n’ roll. Again, that bass is ripping.
Accompanied by a cinematic video also directed by Emil Klinta, Leave A Mark serves as a blazing introduction to what Overdriver has in store. Overdriver pre-orders can be made here.
The Hellacopters – 30 Years of Hellacious Rock
2025 marks three decades since The Hellacopters first revved their engines on the global rock scene. Known for their explosive live performances and genre-defying music, the band shows no signs of slowing down.
In addition to the Overdriver release, fans can look forward to anniversary celebrations, with a run of shows in Scandinavia having just been announced.
