ARMORED SAINT’s John Bush Remembers Late Guitarist Dave Prichard On His Birthday - “His Sense Of Humour, His Amazing Guitar Playing That Was Super Soulful Yet Technical”

After a long battle with leukemia, ARMORED SAINT guitarist Dave Prichard passed away at 26 years old on February 28th, 1990. He would’ve turned 61 today (November 27th, 1963). During a recent chat with singer John Bush, BraveWords asked what he missed about his longtime bandmate.

“His sense of humour, his amazing guitar playing that was super soulful yet technical,” Bush remembers fondly. “Busting balls constantly, his crazy red hair. You know back then of course we were young and he was single some of the time so his method to pick up chicks was always quite amusing. Super great artist, like amazing illustrator and stuff. Everything about Dave.”

Prichard played on 1983’s Armored Saint EP, 1984’s March Of The Saint, 1985’s Delirious Nomad, 1987’s Raising Fear, as well as the band’s 1988 live album Saints Will Conquer.
