SHINEDOWN Plan On "Pushing The Envelope When It Comes To Creativity" On Next Album

Earlier today (Thursday, November 21st), Shinedown took to social media to share the following response to the question, "What will the new Shinedown album sound like?":

"It's going to sound like everything... Everything that we have been through personally. Everything that we are excited about. Everything that we are ready to express to the world.

We have said this many times because it is the absolute truth in this band. We only have one boss. It just happens to be everyone in the audience...

We have never walked into a studio to write songs for trophies. We are writing these songs because we believe in what we're doing, and we believe in the message we are presenting to the public...

What we can tell you is that we hope you listen with an open mind, a full heart, and a bold imagination... We are doubling down on every style that has ever inspired us so that we may be fearless, and be the band that we set out to be from day one and that includes bending genres, flirting with soundscape's and personality, and above all pushing the envelope when it comes to creativity... And also, yes, doing our best to take our love of Rock N' Roll to the next level.

We hope you are as excited as we are for the next chapter.

Love you!!! Brent, Eric, Barry, Zach".

Shinedown's new album will be the band's eighth studio full-length, serving as the follow-up to Planet Zero, released in 2022 via Atlantic Records.

In live news, Shinedown will be headlining Welcome To Rockville at Daytona International Speedway in Florida on May 15, 2025.

Brent Smith from Shinedown reflects on headlining Rockville in their home state of Florida: "We take this very seriously...it's symbolic and a massive honor to be a headliner at Welcome To Rockville. This is the biggest rock festival in North America, so LET’S GO!!!! Thank you to DWP for always believing in us and giving us this incredible opportunity. What I can tell the audience is that myself, Barry, Zach, Eric and our entire crew are going to bring you a performance and experience like no other.”
