King Kraken return with their new single Chainsaw Saviour, a powerhouse track leading to their upcoming 2025 album March Of The Gods

Almost two years since their debut album MCLXXX was released, South Wales powerhouse and Bloodstock 2024 alumni King Kraken return with Chainsaw Saviour, the first single from their forthcoming album March Of The Gods.

Chainsaw Saviour is instantly Kraken, with the swirling intro riff, the thick, chunky stomp and the rough yet refined vocals of Mark Donaghue immediately hitting you in the face. Adam Healey’s guitar work is outstanding, dipping in and out of the track with cavalier regard for structure.

Meanwhile, the thunderous heaviness of the band comes to the fore, with the powerful, driven core of the song accentuated by the battering of drummer Richard Lee Mears, whose fills and rolls contribute to pushing Chainsaw Saviour forward.

It is an earworm that buries deep into the psyche, and you will be humming that chorus for weeks.

In the first instalment of a concerted push, King Kraken’s message is simple: We are back, and this time, nothing is standing in our way.

Here at MetalTalk, we’ll be with the band every step of the way, culminating in extensive coverage of their album launch and UK tour. News is coming soon.

Buy Chainsaw Saviour for 79 pence from iTunes here.

March Of The Gods will be released on the 18 of April 2025.
