Forbes Senior Contributor, Hugh McIntyre, is reporting that AC/DC maintains a constant presence on at least one chart in the United Kingdom. It’s on that ranking this week that the band sees one of their biggest smashes return to the highest tier... and in doing so, it joins another classic from the rockers.
On this week’s "Official Rock & Metal Singles" chart, AC/DC claims a pair of spaces inside the Top 10. The Australian outfit pushes one of their most famous tunes back to the loftiest space on the ranking of the top-selling rock, hard rock, and metal tunes in the UK, showing that even after so many years, they can still sell like the most exciting new acts in those genres.
AC/DC’s highest-ranking hit on the "Official Rock & Metal Singles" chart this week is actually stationary. “Thunderstruck” sat at #7 last time around, and it’s a non-mover this frame.
Meanwhile, “Highway To Hell” is back inside the Top 10. That memorable tune rocks its way from #14 to #8 on the "Official Rock & Metal Singles" chart. The band manages to score back-to-back wins this period, which isn’t unheard of, but it’s usually reserved for only the biggest names in those styles.
