Ahead of Oasis’ highly anticipated 2025 reunion tour, images showing Liam Gallagher in fights with paparazzi went viral in what seems to be an attempt to cancel the band. Gallagher showed no concern over the backlash, though.
The original X post sharing the images read, “Oh, apparently today’s fandom weirdness is that we’re pretending Liam’s never punched white paparazzi?”
A fan defended Gallagher, noting that he treated all paparazzi invading his privacy the same, regardless of race. Gallagher added, “I do not discriminate. [They’re] all c*nts.”
Another user mocked the cancellation attempts, calling them ‘hilarious,’ to which Gallagher replied, “Good luck with that.” He then further dismissed the situation, responding with, “Oooh, I’m scared,” to a tweet saying, “People trying to cancel you out of context is crazy.”
Oasis announced their comeback in August, just ahead of the 30th anniversary of their debut album, ‘Definitely Maybe.’ Originally scheduled for 17 shows across five cities in the U.K. and Ireland, the tour expanded due to high demand.
The shows begin in Cardiff, Wales, on July 4, 2025, and end on November 8, with stops in the U.S. and Australia. While the official lineup is unconfirmed, reports suggest that bassist Andy Bell and guitarists Paul Arthurs and Gem Archer will join Liam and Noel Gallagher on stage.
