Tool’s Maynard James Keenan recently shared his thoughts on his upcoming performance at the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame.

Keenan will perform Ozzy Osbourne’s songs at the ceremony in two days. In an interview with Allison Hagendorf, he said he was feeling nervous about the event. “Terrifying. Extremely terrifying,” Keenan said when asked how he feels about performing. “This is for him and his song is out of my range, so I’m gonna be struggling to hit the notes. I got the call and I answered.”

The ceremony will take place on October 19 at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland, Ohio. It will include an all-star tribute to Ozzy Osbourne’s solo career, featuring performances from Keenan, Billy Idol, and country singer Jelly Roll. The backing band will include bassist Rob Trujillo, formerly of Osbourne’s band and now with Metallica.

It’s still uncertain if Osbourne himself will perform. Earlier this year, he said, “You never know.”

The event will stream live on Disney+ at 7 p.m. EDT and will be available for on-demand streaming. Highlights will also air in a TV special, ‘2024 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony,’ on ABC on January 1.
