Linkin Park’s new song ‘Heavy Is The Crown’ made it onto Billboard’s Hot 100, but it didn’t rank as high as some fans had hoped.

The State of the Scene Podcast recently shared that the song debuted at number 79, and many fans were upset, blaming the new singer, Emily Armstrong. Some commented that the band’s success was only due to Chester Bennington. One fan said, “They don’t deserve it at all. They’re famous because of Chester. Period.” Another added, “Only famous thanks to Chester.” A different fan even wrote, “The new singer is trash!”

Even with the mixed reactions, the song has appeared on 11 different charts in the U.S. this week. It only had about three days to be streamed and purchased, but that was enough for it to become a quick hit.

Fans bought 2,200 copies of the single in just a few days, placing it at No. 24 on the Digital Song Sales chart. The song also showed up on three more charts focused on sales. It came in at No. 3 on both the Rock and Alternative Digital Song Sales charts, and it took the No. 1 spot on the Hard Rock Digital Song Sales chart, replacing ‘The Emptiness Machine.’

For now, ‘Heavy Is The Crown’ is on just one streaming chart. It debuted at No. 12 on the Hard Rock Streaming Songs chart.
