Iron Maiden have confirmed that dynamic ticket pricing won’t be used for their 50th anniversary Run For Your Lives UK & Ireland tour, reports Planet Rock.
Although it’s not exactly new, dynamic pricing hit global headlines recently when it was used by Ticketmaster for Oasis’ 2025 reunion tour.
Many Oasis fans who had queued for hours during the 31st August on sale were flabbergasted when thousands of ‘in demand’ tickets more than doubled in price. However, despite the widespread furore about inflated prices, the tour sold out. Liam Gallagher even told a person to “shut up” when Oasis were accused of “ripping off” their fans.
Since then, former KISS bassist Gene Simmons has also defended dynamic pricing calling it “supply and demand.”
In a post on social media on Sunday (22nd September), metal titans Iron Maiden announced that they won’t be inflating prices on their tour next June.
“There will be no dynamic ticket pricing for the 2025 Run For Your Lives Tour,” Iron Maiden wrote. “Ticket resale in the UK will be capped at face value and won’t open until much closer to the start of the tour. As always, we urge fans to only purchase tickets from approved outlets.”
