In a recent tweet, Alicia Taylor addressed worries about Corey Taylor’s odd behavior at Slipknot gigs.
“Hope all is well with Corey. First Knot show I’ve seen in 20 years where he didn’t say goodbye and told the audience to take care of each other,” a user wrote on X by tagging Alicia. “He just threw the mic and walked off stage. It was an honor to see that performance tonight. Entire band killed it.”
“Just like 1999,” she responded to the user with a black heart emoji. Slipknot is currently touring North America.
On April 30, Slipknot announced the dates for their North American ‘Here Comes the Pain Tour’ to celebrate 25 years since their debut album. Their first show was at Ruoff Music Center in Indiana and sold out.
They played almost every song from their debut album along with some others. The tour received mixed reactions from fans. Fans were divided about the tour. Most complaints were about playing the same songs, the set being too short, and a few other issues.
“This show was bullsh*t you guys only played self titled robbed people out of their money we spent more time waiting than the actual show,” one person said.
Another one shared, “Salty it was barely an hour long. and that none of my fav songs got played, but I get it cause of the 25-year anniversary…. But what concert is only an hour long? I drove far to see this, def a let down.”
“You guys have been playing this setlist for 25 years. I’ve heard all but 3 of these songs live. Do something new,” one complained about the group’s setlist.
The band’s social media also had positive feedback. Many commenters complained about ‘fake fans’ who only knew three songs. “If you hate this song list you either only heard Slipknot from TikTok or just don’t know any other song lmao,” one wrote.
Another commenter added, “Can people really not comprehend that this is a Self-titled tour….not ‘Iowa,’ not ‘Volume 3’….? We finally get something as sic as this and y’all still complaining.”
Slipknot is scheduled to perform at Knotfest Iowa on September 21. They will also have a concert at Louder Than Life on September 26.
