Tracii Guns feels Dave Grohl should not have publicly admitted to cheating.
“The whole Grohl thing posting it on social media I think causes more pain to his family etc,” the guitarist wrote on X. “I think he was trying to do the right thing but I’m not sure telling millions of people was healthy for his family. What do you think? Y’all can tell me to get f*cked and I’ll understand.”
“People seem forget that ‘good people’ can screw up, too,” one person said in the comment section. “That’s not what I was arguing. My argument was going extremely public with it and putting his family in the spotlight over something they had no control over,” Guns responded to the user.
“I agree, but at the same time, I can see Grohl’s ‘let’s get this sh*t over with’ approach,” another commenter noted. “He knew the minute word got out, people would pry and ask the same question over and over again. Either way, it’s painful to the family. Sucks.”
One other individual added, “Perhaps he found out the media had gotten word and wanted to get out in front of it? Do you think that’s possible? I can’t think of any other reason to air that sh*t out because as you said, not a great idea.”
Grohl recently announced on Instagram that he has a baby from outside his 23-year marriage. “I’ve recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage,” he said in his post. “I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her.”
The musician continued, “I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness. We’re grateful for your consideration toward all the children involved, as we move forward together.”
Dave didn’t share more about the new baby or the mother. Grohl has been married to Jordyn Blum since 2003, and they got married at their home in Los Angeles. They just celebrated their 21st anniversary. They have three kids: Violet Maye, 18; Harper Willow, 15; and Ophelia Saint, 10.
