Ronnie Radke defended Andy Biersack on X amidst a new wave of criticism.
“I do not understand why y’all are all of a sudden hating on Andy,” the Falling In Reverse frontman wrote. “He’s a good dude. There is absolutely no reason for y’all to do this other than just being bad people. So I’m gonna assume you are the bad people since you are so concerned with Andy’s moral compass.”
Biersack faced backlash after tweeting, “Did you know you can say whatever you want about anyone? Just find out who is getting sh*t on today by the ‘good’ people, then join in & feel superior to all the ‘bad’ people! You can make new friends by slandering strangers! Tonight we’re in Boston & it’s Lonny’s birthday!”
“The rapid downfall of this man needs to be studied,” a user replied to Biersack’s tweet. “This would be an extremely boring class, albeit an ironic one since I’m a high school dropout who was a terrible student,” the singer responded.
“We’ve finally gotten skinny fit pants and combat boots Andy stage looks back (the best Andy stage looks) and all it took was getting occasional passive-aggressive Andy tweets in return,” another commenter posted under Andy’s tweet.
“I’ve just decided it’s easier to have fun with this than to keep it bottled inside forever. It’s really strange to me that so many are making this about other people as if me and my family are not constantly scrutinized by strangers online and have been for a decade plus. PS! Glad you dig the stage look! I think it’s one of our better ones in years personally,” Biersack replied.
Radke also defended Biersack after he was criticized for supporting Radke. The rocker took to Instagram to respond to the hate and address comments about Biersack’s support.
He said, “So your whole music career you have made a point that BVB is meant to be a safe space for ‘outcasts’ and people that are different yet will ignore the blatant bigoted & transphobic things that man has said because he was nice to you??? Don’t ever claim to be an ally again.”
“As far as Andy goes, he is one of the nicest, most fcking intelligent, well-spoken, cultured human beings I’ve ever met in my 17 years, dude,” Radke continued. “I’m so tired of this sht. This guy has such a big heart, dude, and you think he’s just out here just giving passes to bad people?”
Ronnie also mentioned that he and Andy, along with others, frequently face online attacks. When they respond, people label them as immature. The backlash against Biersack began when fans expressed dissatisfaction with the band touring alongside Falling In Reverse.
