Go Ahead And Die – the band currently featuring vocalists and guitarists Max Cavalera (Nailbomb, Soulfly, etc.) and Igor Amadeus Cavalera (Healing Magic), drummer Johnny Valles (Healing Magic), and bassist Jackie Cruz (Jade Helm) – will release their first-ever live album Better Dead Than Mainstream: Live At The Marquee Theater on September 13.
Better Dead Than Mainstream: Live At The Marquee Theater was recorded on September 25, 2021 at the Marquee Theater in Tempe, AZ. The album was produced, engineered, and mastered by Arthur Rizk (Soulfly, Power Trip), and is available for pre-order here.
"It's amazing to me that the lockdown allowed Igor and myself the opportunity to make such a brutal record!" said Max of the live effort. "That era gave us a clear view of harmful social issues as authoritarian rule was exploding in aggressive ways. This is a true live album, with no overdubs. It's as brutal as the pandemic!"
