In a recent conversation on The Bogus Otis Show: 9 Degrees Of Sammy Hagar podcast, rock legend Sammy Hagar provided a promising update for fans eager for new material from his current touring band, "The Best Of All Worlds."

When asked about the possibility of the group recording original music, Hagar confidently stated, "Yes. I guarantee it." However, he expressed reservations about the timing, noting the challenges of the modern music industry.

"I mean, it's, like, I don't know when and why, because records don't sell. I've made a couple of my best records of my life, my last two solo records, and I'm lucky to sell 50 or 60,000 records. You go and make a record nowadays just to lose a couple hundred thousand bucks. It's all good. But I need a tax write-off, so it really helps. 'I made too many this year. Let's go make a record.'"

Hagar also touched on Van Halen’s 1995 album Balance, which was the last album featuring his vocals. He confirmed that it is next in line for a reissue (we recently got a deluxe one for For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge). Balance, known for hits like "Don't Tell Me (What Love Can Do)" and "Can't Stop Lovin' You," was the last full-length collaboration between Hagar and Van Halen before he departed from the band.

Interestingly, during the same interview, Hagar was reminded of a pay-per-view concert recorded in Toronto during the same year. This concert, initially set for a commercial release, never saw the light of day due to Hagar's exit from the band. Upon learning about this, Hagar said, “I didn’t know about that. So I’ll bring that up. That’s a very good idea.”

Currently, Hagar is on the road with his bandmates from The Circle: former Van Halen bassist Michael Anthony and drummer Jason Bonham. They are joined by world-renowned guitarist Joe Satriani and multi-instrumentalist Rai Thistlethwayte for "The Best Of All Worlds" tour. This tour prominently features a setlist packed with Van Halen classics, including "Good Enough" from the 5150 album and "Poundcake" from For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge. Fans are also treated to Satriani’s iconic "Satch Boogie" and several of Hagar's solo hits. The tour is wrapping up on August 31 in St. Louis, Missouri.
