Falling In Reverse frontman Ronnie Radke is defending Andy Biersack after he received backlash for sticking up for Radke.
Radke took to Instagram to address the hate comments and responded to the haters. The singer addressed a commenter who responded to Biersack’s recent words about Radke.
“So your whole music career you have made a point that BVB is meant to be a safe space for ‘outcasts’ and people that are different yet will ignore the blatant bigoted & transphobic things that man has said because he was nice to you??? Don’t ever claim to be an ally again,” the user wrote a few days ago.
“As far as Andy goes he is one of the nicest most f*cking intelligent well-spoken cultured human beings I’ve ever met my 17 years dude,” Radke said of Biersack. “I’m so tired of this sh*t. This guy has such a big heart dude and you think he’s just out here just giving passes to bad people? Look at my track record, look at all the people that fuck with me, dude. What are you talking about? It’s the majority of these legendary people. Do you think if I was such a bad person they would have seen it on me, dude?”
“You guys are the bad people it’s not me it’s you because you do this for likes and views, he continued. “It’s pathetic, you need attention and this is the attention you’re going to get. You’re going to go private after this probably because you can’t handle it because your skin’s so thin.”
The frontman added, “Andy and I and all these other people that have been in the scene get attacked so much online and then the second we respond or if I respond it’s like, ‘You’re a baby,’ no, you’re a f*cking baby. All of you guys are babies fuck all of you. we don’t like you I promise you. All these little whiny little brats talking about bigotry and shit, you haven’t seen bigotry if it slapped you in your ugly face.”
The backlash against Biersack started because fans were unhappy about the band touring with Falling in Reverse. Fans shared their opinions about the tour on social media platforms, and most of them were negative reactions.
“We have and will continue to tour with a lot of different artists,” Biersack responded to the backlash with a lengthy message. “I’ll say this though even though it likely won’t land because I imagine you have a presupposition here but thus far we have been treated with a level of kindness and enthusiasm on this tour that we aren’t accustomed to, in fact for 3 legs of ‘Trinity’ [their tour with Motionless In White and Ice Nine Kills] we were fairly universally loathed by the other bands fans either passively or in many cases overtly whereas last night the people in attendance who maybe didn’t know much about BVB gave us a chance and seemed to want to really have fun at a show rather than lean on the scene oriented ‘BVB sucks’ take.”
The rocker also praised Radke for ‘going out of his way to show kindness’ to them.
Falling In Reverse’s tour with Black Veil Brides is still going. The two bands are joined by Dance Gavin Dance and Tech N9ne, and they will be playing almost every day until September 26.
