Death Angel recently dropped off their upcoming tour with W.A.S.P. due to "unforeseen circumstances," though the news came from W.A.S.P. at the time and not Death Angel. Then things got a little heated when Death Angel drummer Will Carroll took to his personal Facebook page to make a few comments, saying in part "Please don't ask me why we're not on the WASP tour in the comments below. I think it's pretty fucking obvious…"

Ex-Exodus guitarist Rick Hunolt then expressed his own condolences to Carroll in the comments, to which Carroll replied: "It really does. The word BETRAYAL comes to mind." He then added: "I notice people are slagging WASP here. As much as I'd like to I made a promise I would not go into details about why we are no longer doing the WASP tour… on social media. But to be clear it has absolutely nothing to do with WASP."

Death Angel has now finally issued their own statement, which largely avoids any specifics and only blames the cancellation on "various unforeseen circumstances and numerous scheduling conflicts."

"In light of recent events we'd like to set the record straight on a few things," wrote Death Angel. "We unfortunately had to drop off of the WASP tour due to various unforeseen circumstances and numerous scheduling conflicts that arose. We are more than appreciative of Blackie Lawless and the entire WASP camp for so graciously giving us the opportunity and wish them a very successful tour.

"Death Angel is commited to giving you the fans, only the very best of what we have to offer and we look forward to getting back to you all very soon.

"Respectfully, Death Angel"

While the band didn't specifically address it, it's worth noting that Death Angel vocalist Mark Osegueda is Kerry King's solo band's vocalist. Osegueda recently revealed that he had to keep his involvement with King's solo band under wraps until it got announced, which is especially interesting considering that Osegueda seemed pretty stoked about new Death Angel earlier this year. Osegueda has been out on the road with King's solo band as well, which is likely making it harder for Death Angel to plot tours and shows.
