Linkin Park's Mike Shinoda posted a brief message on his website on August 12 stating that he's got "so many exciting things planned for you." Which all by itself would be an innocuous statement, except for that whole "Linkin Park reunion in 2025" rumor that's floating around.

"Hey everyone! I've been locked away in the lab for a while, in between a couple summer trips. So many exciting things planned for you," wrote Shinoda.

In the meantime, I posted a new piece of art–you can find it in The Bazaar. For those of you who are Zig holders / digital art collectors, you can use your keys for a discount, as usual. Talk soon…"

For those unaware, Billboard reported back in April that Linkin Park is allegedly entertaining reunion offers for 2025 with a female singer. "Booking agency WME is taking offers for a potential Linkin Park tour along with headlining festival dates featuring Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson and Dave Farrell, the sources say," reads a portion of Billboard's report.

"The band has not indicated who will sing on behalf of [late Linkin Park vocalist Chester] Bennington, who was often praised as one of the most gifted and durable vocalists of the 2000s with a dynamic range tailor-made for the group’s genre-bending style."

They added: "One source tells Billboard the band is hoping to find a female vocalist to front the reunited band, matching rumors that have been making the rounds in recent weeks."

The other interesting aspect of that report is that it didn't mention turntablist Joe Hahn and drummer Rob Bourdon, both of whom were with Linkin Park in their pre-Bennington days when they went by the name Xero. But again – this is all a big rumor right now, so who knows if Linkin Park will ultimately come back and who will be part of their lineup if they do.
