Dismember seems to slowly be making the rounds in the United States this year. Dismember will play Maryland Deathfest this May, and then they'll be back for a special Like An Everflowing Stream show on August 17 at the Brooklyn Monarch in Brooklyn, NY with Vomitory, Undergang, Malignancy, and Morpheus Descends.

And now to add to that brutality, Dismember has just announced their first Texas show in 31 years. Dismember will play 2410 N St Mary's St. in San Antonio, TX on August 16, and make sure you're there – Dismember says it's their only Texas date!

Dismember reunited in 2019 and has been doing shows ever since. Of course with any live reunion comes the question of when new material might happen. Dismember has made it well known that new material could definitely happen, which drummer Fred Estby elaborated on during an interview with Metal Rules.

"It's not hard at all," said Estby. "So the thing is, we have a license deal with Nuclear Blast. We have an option to do one or two more albums. Great. We can do whenever we want, which is even more perfect for us. So we can take our time and we're going to take our time because we're not going to release something that is half-assed. We're going to be very critical about [it], especially since it's been such a long time since the last album.

"And I love the Dismember album that I'm not even on that was released in 2008. It's a great album. If you're going to release an album now as a reunited band in two thousand and fucking twenty-three, twenty-four, you're going to have to try to match like ever before. You cannot be shy of that. We're going to be very critical about it and that's going to take some time because we don't live in the same cities like we hang out every day."

Dismember is currently the classic '90s lineup of Estby, vocalist Matti Kärki, guitarists Robert Sennebäck and David Blomqvist, and bassist Richard Cabeza.
