Escuela Grind had a hell of a weekend and it doesn't seem like it's over yet.
It all started when guitarist Tom Sifuentes said he was being replaced after voicing concerns over his hearing, and got worse when the band was accused by a former driver of everything from sexual assault by a tour manager and overall mistreatment. Escuela Grind guitarist Krissy Morash responded to the accusations, denying the assault allegations and accusing the driver of not being able to do their job properly.
Now Escuela Grind has issued a statement as a band that… doesn't really say very much. Escuela Grind thanks Sifuentes for his two years in the band, notes that they're about to his the road with a "new touring team," and that's about it. Comments for the post have been turned off on Escuela Grind's Instagram.
"Thank you to everyone who came out to the past six weeks of shows. This was our best run ever as a band," wrote Escuela Grind.
"We want to take this opportunity to thank Tom for his two years of service in the band. He always loved our fans and was such a force, it will be difficult to replace him.
"We are excited to head back out on the road in 10 days with the homies in Capra and new touring team. We’re working to grow and improve, both as musicians and a touring unit, and will continue to lift people up, and be advocates for the girls, the gays, the theys, and the lifers.
"Remember, the only way we grow is by hanging out and talking to each other. We’re looking forward to seeing you all again."
