Kanye West found himself in a bit of hot water yesterday after Ozzy Osbourne blasted him on social media for using an uncleared sample of "Iron Man" by Black Sabbath (originally mistaken for "War Pigs") at a release party for his new album Vultures. In a statement, Osbourne said he denied West on the grounds that West is "AN ANTISEMITE AND HAS CAUSED UNTOLD HEARTACHE TO MANY," later adding that "I WANT NO ASSOCIATION WITH THIS MAN!"Please enable Javascript to view this content

Now Sharon Osbourne has weighed in with Billboard, echoing Ozzy's statements that the Osbourne family would rather not be associated with West. "We get so many requests for these songs, and when we saw that request, we just said no way."

She added: "The simple thing is, we don't want to be associated with a hater. To spread hate the way he does, it shouldn't be allowed. All the excuses — he's bipolar or whatever — doesn't change that. It's like, fuck you, basically."

Sharon later clarified that Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward own "Iron Man" and all four parties would have needed to approve before West could use the sample.

Vultures has previously come under fire for the Vultures album using a 1835 painting by German artist Caspar David Friedrich, which references of Burzum's album Filosofem. West has also embraced Burzum mastermind Varg Vikernes in recent months, which again – antisemites sure love them some antisemites. Especially ones that describe themselves as such.
