Andy Biersack and Juliet Simms are celebrating the seventh anniversary of their marriage. The couple started their relationship in 2012 and tied the knot four years later. Biersack met Simms during the Warped Tour in 2011, and according to Simms, the two clicked instantly, leading to a now 7-year-old marriage. But there is much more to know about both Simms and Biersack.
Biersack Was 14 When He Formed BVB
You read it right. The rocker was no older than 14 years old when he formed his band. Before their current name, they played one show under the name ‘Biersack.’
The Couple Planned to Marry A Few Weeks After Meeting
Before coming across each other during the Warped Tour, the two had actually met before. After losing touch and not seeing each other for a long time, Simms and Biersack saw each other during the tour again when Biersack was on stage with Black Veil Brides. After his set, the singer saw Asking Alexandria’s Danny Worsnop photographing her, and was invited to his van, where Biersack too would be. In Simms’ words, the two chatted for eight hours and Biersack proposed three months after they started dating.
Though they planned to get married that day, with all the paperwork and a few problems, the wedding extended to 2016.
Biersack’s Stage Name Used to be Andy Sixx
Before he got famous with Black Veil Brides, his stage name was Andy Sixx. Five years in, the rocker eventually decided to stick to his birth name, and changed his stage name from Andy Sixx to Andy Biersack in 2011.
The Couple Covered an Adele Hit
Simms was featured in the seventh volume of ‘Punk Goes Pop,’ a compilation series of pop songs covered by various artists into punk and rock. Simms took place on the album with her husband for a duet cover of Adele’s hit, ‘When We Were Young.’
Biersack Has a Lengthy Relationship With Stage Injuries
The Black Veil Brides rocker is always energetic during his shows, some of which did not end well. As a result of his movements, he has had some injuries, including shattered ribs, and a broken nose. But the rocker did not stop even after those injuries. He also displaced a rib during a show when he fell down from a 9-meter pillar trying to jump back onto the stage.
Biersack Was Bullied for His Music Taste and Appearance
During his teen years, Biersack’s favorite bands included Mötley Crüe and Kiss, and used to dress the way he still does now. Those two factors lead him to get bullied. Despite the bullying, he grew up to be in a really popular band.
