The Flying V Documentary YouTube channel has released a new interview with Judas Priest guitarist Richie Faulkner. He discusses his life in music, inspirations, the Flying V guitar, amps and pedals, and acting legend Christopher Lee in the clip below.
Faulkner on his first Flying V:
"My dad bought me a pearl white Epiphone Flying V, and it had a Seymour Duncan Invader in it. It was hot and ballsy, this pickup, and I learned so much on (the guitar). I used to play along to Iron Maiden's Live After Death, and I used to learn Dave Murray's parts and then turn him off. They split it left and right, so you had Adrian Smith on one side and Dave Murray on the other. I'd learn Dave Murray's parts, shut him off, and then play the whole gig. I learned so much on that guitar and I've still got it to this day. It was an important guitar forme."
Judas Priest's new studio album, Invincible Shield, is due for release on March 8. Pre-order here.
