Slipknot promise that their 25th-year European anniversary shows in 2024 will be especially explosive and are not to be missed. A massive 2024 European and UK headline begins on 5 December 2024 in the Netherlands and will arrive in Leeds on 14 December in the first of five UK shows.
“It has been 25 years since we first played on the continent,” Shawn ‘Clown’ Crahan said, “and we’ve been back many times since. The memories I have from all those times are life-changing, and we’re ready to make more.”
These are memories that would have been enhanced by a super headline performance at this year’s Download. It’s visually damning, nostalgically tremendous and fresh as a tar-sheered daisy as Download 2023 ended with the bang that is Slipknot.
“I’m so excited to bring our 25th-year anniversary tour to Europe and the UK. Be prepared for an energy you’ve never experienced before. It’s happening.”
The Slipknot World Domination Tour of 1999/2000 hit the London Astoria on 13 December 1999. Playing eight further shows in Europe, the band would cover the United States and Canada in January 2000, before hitting Japan and Australia in February 2000. Seven dates in the UK in March 2000 before the band once again moved into Europe.
The tour was postponed mid-March as the band had to return home. Resuming in April in North America, Slipknot would continue their European dates in June 2000 before festival performances at Leeds and Reading that August.
Support is from Bleed From Within. Tickets are available from here and are available from Friday, 15 December.
