If you live in the States and you love guitar pyrotechnics, prepare yourself to have your face melted next year, because Joe Satriani and Steve Vai are teaming up for a tour.

The Satch-Vai Tour is launching on March 22 in Orlando, FL, with 31 confirmed dates so far, and more to be announced. So now you don't have a excuse to miss these two guys together on stage, even if the previously announced G3 tour for 2024 – also including Eric Johnson – doesn't come near your neck of the woods.

Satriani and Vai's musical careers and lives have been interlaced for decades, ever since Satriani became Vai's guitar teacher during their teenage years. The two have remained good friends after both their careers skyrocketed, as everyone knows.

"The Satch/Vai Tour is happening! I'm so looking forward to sharing the stage with Steve again," says Satriani. "Every time we play together it takes me back to when we were teenagers, eating and breathing music every second of the day, pushing, challenging and helping each other to be the best we could be. I guess we've never stopped!"

Vai echoed the sentiment by saying: "Touring with Joe is always a pleasure and an honor. He is my favorite guitarist to jam with, and now we have another opportunity to take it to the stage. I feel as though we are both at the top of our game and that the show will be a powerful celebration of the coolest instrument in the world, the electric guitar!"
