During an episode of the cooking series ‘Something’s Burning,’ Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale opened up about the challenges of navigating friendships after attaining wealth.
Rossdale was joined by Slipknot’s Corey Taylor, and both discussed the impact money has had on their personal lives. Taylor emphasized the significance of financial awareness due to familial responsibilities, while Rossdale provided a more personal account of his journey from lacking funds to becoming the individual in his circle who possessed wealth:
“From having been the person with no money in everyone’s life that I knew, I became the person who did have money. So it was a lot of people that want help. Whenever anyone comes to me and says ‘Can I borrow some money?’ and they want like 15 grand — whatever they’re asking for is the value of our friendship. I’m never going to see them again.”
He continued, revealing out of all the people he lent money to, only one person had repaid him:
“Like, what do we cost? What do we cost? It’s like, ‘OK, if you need that money now.’ And I’ve never had — I’ve had one person, one person pay me back.”
In a light-hearted exchange, Taylor playfully remarked that Rossdale’s count of one successful repayment was one more than he had experienced.
On a related note, Taylor has released his new solo album titled ‘CMF2,‘ and Gavin Rossdale’s most recent work with Bush is the 2022 album ‘The Art of Survival.’ Both albums are currently available for fans.
